Generator Hostels

Hi everyone,

Welcome to my first ever blog post! My name is Rebecca Wadsworth, and I am currently in my final year studying Interior Architecture at Cork Institute of Technology. In this blog I hope to share everything from my design inspirations to projects I'm working on, as well as keeping you up to date on fourth year college life!

For my first post I want to talk a little bit about the Generator Hostel brand. With locations all over Europe they are one of the world's fastest growing hostel chains - and it is clear to see why. The design-conscious brand has placed a huge emphasis on creating memorable interiors created by Toronto based studio 'DesignAgency'.

The inspiration behind each hostel design is the city itself, and DesignAgency spends a huge amount of their time sourcing locally made furniture and fixtures as well as integrating the work of local artists into their design. From the red double-decker bus located in the lobby of the Generator London, to the chandelier made of Jameson bottles in Generator Dublin, guests can be sure that there will always be something to look at. Here are some of my favourite Generator interiors - I love their eclectic mix of styles and furniture.

If anyone has stayed at one of the Generator hostels I would love to know what you thought - I can't wait to stay at their Dublin location within the next few weeks! Until next time...

Becky
